‘Snow is sometimes a she, a soft one. Her kiss on your cheek, her finger on your sleeve...’ Ted Hughes

Helen Grime’s exquisite ‘Snow and Snow’ takes its inspiration from Ted Hughes' poem of the same name. In this programme it is flanked by some of the most enduringly well-loved music for trio, ending with a rarely heard arrangement of Brahms’ poignant Trio Op. 114.

  • Glinka Trio Pathetique
  • Grime Snow and Snow
  • Mozart Kegelstatt Trio
  • Beethoven Trio Op. 11 ‘Gassenhauer’
  • Brahms Trio Op. 114
